Last Chance Sale-a-bration with Stampin Creative

Hello!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative March blog hop – you’re currently visiting Caro Thomas. I’m the first photo (going left to right) above.  You may have arrived from Pip or started here, either way you are very welcome!  If you’ve hopped to me from Pip then I know you’ll have seen some great things to whet your appetite and maybe prompt a last minute purchase!

I decided to focus on an item from the second release of Sale-a-bration (SAB) items – still available here in the UK although it’s already sold out in the US.  So if you want some, I’d suggest you get an order of at least £45 in asap, before our stocks run out too!  So what an I showcasing?  The glimmer paper!  As with all SAB items, this limited edition freebie is only available until the end of March. There are 12 sheets of 6×6 inch sparkling loveliness to play with in Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum.  And believe me, this gorgeous paper is really sparkly!

As it’s Mother’s Day tomorrow I’ve also focussed on designs that could be made easily at the last minute – no judgement here!  There’s even not any stamping, that’s how easy they are:

Sunshine Wishes, Sale-a-bration, Glimmer paper, Mother's Day

I’ve used the Sunshine Wishes thinlits to emphasize the glimmer paper and let it speak for itself on both cards.

Sunshine Wishes, Sale-a-bration, Glimmer paper, Mother's Day

My first card uses three of the same flower in the Sweet Sugarplum glimmer paper, on Whisper White with a skinny Emerald Envy border on a Basic Black Base.  Stamp a suitable sentiment inside and your Mother’s Day card is complete!

Sunshine Wishes, Sale-a-bration, Glimmer paper, Mother's Day

My second card uses hearts (from the same thinlet set) in the Sweet Sugarplum and Bermuda Bay glimmer paper, as well as a sentiment (Sunshine Wishes again).  The hearts are layered onto Whisper White – I used the largest square Stitched Framelit for this and then popped it up on dimensionals.  When gluing fiddly shapes, a spot of tombow (liquid glue) on a silicone craft mat and a piece of sponge or sponge dauber will really help – perfect coverage with no splodges!  Again, I think this could easily be a Mother’s Day card (or a late Valentines?!).

If you want to place an order please just click on the “Shop with Me” button to the right and don’t forget to use the host code – UDS3QBUK – if your order is less than £150 to receive an extra gift from me.  Over £150 don’t use it as you’ll get the rewards to spend and you’ll still get the gift from me.

That’s it from me – hope you’ve enjoyed today’s cards.  Now onto Mikaela, who I know will have something beautiful to share with us.  Click on the Next button  or click on the link at the bottom of the post, where there’s a full list of today’s blog posts.

See you on Wednesday!

Clean and Simple Jolly Friends

Hello!

Sorry for missing my Thursday post – there was a bit of a blip in my life and it just didn’t happen.  But I’m back now and have a really fun card to show you!

Jolly Friends, Jolly hat punch, Glimmer, Christmas, Star of Light

Like my last post, this card was inspired by a simple notelet design I came up as an idea for our attendees’ free time, if they wanted to break into their goody bag.  The base is Thick Whisper White with a mat of Real Red, followed by a top layer of Whisper White.  I stamped the moose from Jolly Friends in Soft Suede and then punched the hat out of Real Red glimmer paper using the Jolly Hat punch (you’ll have some extra parts) and then just the brim and pom-pom out of the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.    You cab buy the stamp set and the hat as a bundle and get 10% off.  The punch has these three shapes and if you punch the hat you get all three but you can avoid the hat if you want to and just get the other two shapes, if that makes sense!  I attached the hat pieces together using glue dots – it’s pretty much the only adhesive that seems to work on glimmer paper, plus they are nice and small.  I used the embossing buddy all over the top layer, then stamped the sentiment from Star of Light in Versamark followed by Real Red and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  It really shines – the photo doesn’t do it justice.  I constructed the card with Tombow and then popped the hat up on dimensionals at a jaunty angle and added the Glimmery Red nose (the smaller circle from the Owl builder punch) using a glue dot.

Simple and fun, I thought!  Hope you like it.
