Stampin’ Creative’s Summer Fun Crafty Projects

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Creative blog hop.  Our theme this month is Summer Fun Crafty Projects so grab a coffee and hop around with us!

If you’ve arrived from Louise you’ll already have seen something fantastic. If you’ve started here do hop around – the links are at the bottom of the post.

I’ve had a challenging month. My sister Liz was diagnosed with lung cancer about a month ago. This was quickly followed by the discovery of spots on her brain. The good news is – it’s all treatable. Liz is doing amazingly – she is bright and positive and determined to beat this. She’s already had a course of full head radiotherapy – they are not wasting time in getting her treated. I spent two weeks there just after her diagnosis and now I’m heading back for another week to dispense hugs and provide home made croissants. Anyway, that’s a long winded explanation of why my posts once again, have failed to appear.

Onto the card!  I made this as part of a stamp-a-stack for the latest retreat I ran with my friend and upline Eimear – she’s also part of this blog hop. Although straightforward and designed to be quick to make as part of a stamp-a-stack, I love the simplicity of it. You’ll notice I used the “just breathe” sentiment again – I had teachers and parents in mind, given it’s the start of the holidays! All the images and the sentiment are from the Colorful Seasons stampset – a current favourite and likely to stay that way! The deckchairs frames are stamped in Sahara Sand, then the seats from left to right are stamped in full strength Trabquil Tide, then again but stamped off once and finally in Lemon Lime Twist the sentiment is also stamped in Tranquil Tide. I put a skinny Lemon Lime Twist mat behind the Whisper White layer and added a Tranquil Tide base.

My message for myself and anyone else that needs to take a moment – just breathe.

Just Breathe, In Colours, In Colours, Colorful Season

See you next weekend, fingers crossed.
