Jolly Friends and glittery Christmas

Hello!

Sorry to miss Sunday’s post – the day seemed to pass by in a flash and I only remembered I hadn’t posted as I went to bed!  Sometimes life happens.

Today I’m showing you another of the cards from my recent Christmas stamp-a-stack:

Jolly Friends, Jolly Hat punch, Christmas

This was the most complicated of the four cards and I subsequently came up with a much more CAS design using the moose and Santa hat which I infinitely preferred.  I’ll be showing you that next week.

The base is Emerald Envy, there’s a skinny Whisper White border and the top Real Red layer is stamped with the moose stamp from Jolly Friends (Autumn/Winter catalogue) in Real Red, to give a subtle watermarked effect.  Merry Christmas from Star of Light (Autumn/Winter catalogue) is heat embossed in white.  I cut two ovals the same size from the Layering Ovals framelits set, then heat embossed the moose in Real Red Glitter Stampin’ emboss powder – the photos don’t do it justice, it’s incredibly glittery and sparkly!  I stamped the stripey hat (Jolly Friends) in Emerald Envy on Whisper White, then punched it out using the Jolly Hat builder punch.  There’s a bundle, so save 10% if you buy the stamp and punch together.  I added some clear Wink of Stella to the hat brim and pompom for a bit of bling, then glued it together.  I constructed using tombow, adding a length of Emerald Envy taffeta ribbon (it’s gorgeous) to the Real Red layer.  I popped the Santa hat up with dimensionals.

Hope you like it!  See you on Thursday for CAS Colours & Sketches.
