Twinkle Trees for CAS Colours & Sketches

When I first saw the colours for this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge, set by my sister Liz, I did wonder what I’d do as I’m a bit fixated on Christmas cards at the moment and the colours didn’t shout “Christmas” to me!  But it didn’t take me long to see that I could do a bit of a twist on traditional colours!   Yup, rather than look for a non-Christmas theme, I did it anyway.  Here are the colours:

Bet you’re wondering how I made that Christmassy!  But we’ve got a strong green and a bright pink (almost red) there, so this is what I came up with:

I used the Twinkle Trees set and when I stamped the Tempting Turquoise stars I quickly added some clear embossing powder.  It doesn’t work as well as putting the stamp in Versamark first, but I was stamping multiple times.  Hopefully you can see a bit of twinkle there.  The sentiment is from Star of Light, stamped in Melon Mambo.

Hope you like it – play along with us, we’d love to see your take on these colours in the gallery!

See you on Sunday.
