Surprise sneak peek for CAS Colours & Sketches

Hello!

It’s the second month of our multi hostess challenges at CAS Colours & Sketches and this week Bev has this great sketch for us:

sketch 186

I’ve looked at this a few times and not had any inspiration but with the deadline looming (strange how that happens!), looked at it yesterday and immediately knew what I’d do with it.  And it involves a couple of sneak peeks from the new Stampin’ Up! Autumn/Winter catalogue!  We are in pre-order for demos and my goodies arrived really quickly, last Friday!  One of the must have items for me was copper foil paper, showcased here:

I love it!  Isn’t it gorgeous?  I can see me getting through a lot of copper foil between now and Christmas!  The other sneak peek is the sentiment – this is from a really versatile stamp set called Tin of Tags designed to pair with a Christmas tags project, but as you can see, it will have loads of uses aside from the Tin of Tags projects.  I love how Stampin’ Up! give us such versatile sets.

So, my card base is thick Whisper White and my leaves are cut out using the Botanical Builder framelit dies in copper foil (woop!) and Garden Green.  The flower and the sentiment are both Rose Red and then I couldn’t resist adding a touch more of the copper, in the centre.  I love the simplicity of this card but think it has a real wow factor.  Hope you do too.

We always love to see your entries in the gallery, so please have a look at the other Design Team member’s cards for inspiration and then join us – you don’t have to have a blog, you can upload from picture galleries like Flickr.

See you on Sunday.
