Congratulatory flowers

Hello!

Today I decided to make a quick and easy floral card, using a new to me stamp set – Wild about Flowers.  I’ve come to realise that I don’t tend to go for the flowery sets and I’m not sure why, as I certainly like flowers!  This is a two-step stamp set that is beautifully versatile, as well as having some great sentiments, including a retirement one.  I actually used a sentiment from Floral Phrases, as I really liked how it looked, but I can see the sentiments in Wild About Flowers coming in very handy.  Embarrassing admission – two-step stamp sets are sometimes three-step and generally they come marked with 1, 2 and 3 to make it obvious.  It took me a couple of minutes to realise that although this stamp set comes with numbering, it’s to ensure you stamp the right flower heads on the correct stems!  So 1 and 1 go together, 2 and 2 go together and, you’ve got it now, right?

Congratulations, Wild About Flowers, Clean & Simple

My base is Perfect Plum, with a Very Vanilla mat.  I thought that Perfect Plum would go well with Sweet Sugarplum (how could they not?) and I really like how they look together.  The stems are Garden Green.  I stamped the sentiment in Perfect Plum and then constructed with tombow.  I’m really pleased with my fresh and flowery card, hope you like it too!

Don’t forget about our luxury one day retreat!  We’ve extended our early bird offer until this weekend so don’t delay and save 10%.  We’re really excited about the day and would love you to join us.  Click here for all the details.

See you on Thursday for CAS Colours & Sketches.
