Sorry to be so late with my post today – we’ve been to a T20 match in Cheltenham, the first time either of us has been to a professional cricket match. It was a lot of fun and what really struck me was how friendly and sociable it was. People had babies in prams, dogs, epic jealousy-inducing picnics and basically had a great time. We’ll be going again!
On to today’s card – our neighbours had a baby girl on Monday so I needed a card for them, and their as yet unnamed daughter. She was known as “Chip” during the pregnancy and that seems to be continuing for the time being. I was very pleased to have an excuse to break out the Baby Bear stampset again:
My card base is Melon Mambo with a Whisper White mat and a Crumb Cake top layer. I’ve found it easier to stamp in the reverse order to that suggested, so most detail first, ending with the solid body. I mentioned this to my sister Liz, who agreed she finds that order easier. It’s much easier to line the stamps up – I use the bottom and the arm gaps. I stamped the detail in Early Espresso, middle layer in full strength Crumb Cake and the final solid body in Crumb Cake again, stamped off once. I was really pleased with the precision on this one! “Welcome to the World” is from the same stampset and I finished it off with a little bow in the gorgeous striped ribbon, again in Melon Mambo.
I posted this to Helen & Russell yesterday, I hope they like it!
See you on Tuesday.
