Cheerful flowers

Hello!

It was grey this morning so I decided to do a bright, cheery card.  I quickly decided to use my fairly new Penned & Painted stamp set and settled on the largest flower, a two-step (technically three-step) stamp.  I wanted something more subtle than a solid block of colour, so I decided to make my own “inkpad” by using drops of ink on a baby wipe – I chose Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.  I stamped the outline in Smoky Slate, to give definition without being too stark and then filled in using my combination colour.  Finally, I stamped the smallest stamp using Pumpkin Pie, stamped off once.

I added the sentiment from Weather Together then constructed it with a skinny Smoky Slate mat and Pumpkin Pie base.  This would be quick and easy to reproduce and very versatile – lots of sentiments would work well here, I think.

Hope you like it!

See you on Tuesday.
