Baby Bear for CAS Colours & Sketches

Hello!

It’s a colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches this week and Bev has set us this great combination:

CC&S color178-001

My card came about because I really, really wanted to use the Baby Bear stamp that had just arrived (with lots of other goodies!) and I decided to see how he looked using Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz, finishing the details off using Archival Basic Black.  And I think he looks great!

Baby Bear, CC&S #178

I stamped my sentiment in Calypso Coral and decided to pick that up in one of my mat layers.  A skinny black layer really helped pull this together.  My card base is also Basic Black – the card is 5 x 5 inches – it’s a while since I’ve made a square card – I’ve said before that for some reason I think and work in inches when I make those!  I know, it’s weird.

This is a lovely stamp set – you’d think I’d be overdosing on cute as we got a new arrival to our household this week – a kitten called Tarragon!  So he’s taking up a lot of my time (and his brother, who we are looking after for a friend).  He hasn’t been allowed into the room where I craft yet – I think there are interesting times ahead!

Anyway, I really like this cute card, hope you do too!

Don’t forget that it was my 100th blog post on Tuesday – you have until next Tuesday, 21st June to comment and be in with a chance to win the blog candy!

See you on Sunday.

  1. I fell in love with this bear as soon as I saw it in the new catalogue and it’s definitely on my wish list – but had to order the new ink colours first. And doesn’t he look grand in these colours, so cuddly.
