I held a card class yesterday – I hold these monthly, normally on the third Wednesday and Saturday of the month. I call this call this the “Fantastic Four” class, as we make, yes you guessed it, four cards! I also offer a “3plus1” express card (new this month), where we make three cards the same plus one fancier or stepped up card. These are on the 4th Thursday. So if you are local to Swindon and fancy trying a class please get in touch.
Today’s card is one that I came up with for yesterday’s class. If I’m honest, it was a bit panic inspired, as first thing yesterday morning I didn’t have four cards! Fortunately, inspiration struck and my current favourite set, Garden in Bloom, came to the rescue:
This is a quick and simple one layer card using thick Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the flower outlines in Watermelon Wonder and then filled them in with Watermelon Wonder and Crushed Curry, both stamped off once. I added the bee in Archival Black and Crushed Curry (he was a *big* hit at yesterday’s class, so much so that I’ve come up with a design featuring just him – come back on Tuesday to see it!) and then the sentiment from Suite Sayings in Watermelon Wonder. I only recently bought this stamp set so was very pleased to see it’s carried over into the new annual catalogue – not long to go now! If you’d like a copy please let me know, I’ll happily send one to you.
Hope you like it! See you on Tuesday.
