Clean, simple, quick and easy

Hello!

I haven’t managed two posts in a week for quite some time.  Today’s post is thanks to the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, where I’m a member of the Design Team and also the hostess for the month.  I set a sketch challenge this week – here’s the banner:

You can see what I came up with here, but once I’d made that card I realised it was a great template for quick and easy cards and very rapidly produced three more:

Th first card was a challenge card for my upline’s team that I’m part of – she chose those colours as we have some fab pink, black and white paper coming in the new catalogue and she was inspired by that.  I decided they would look great using the sketch layout.  I cut strips of the (retiring) Everyday Chic DSP and put the sentiment in a different place, all on a Melon Mambo mat on a Basic Black base.  Then I looked at my washi stash and had fun!  I’m sure some of it is retired, especially given how often I don’t use it!  I sneaked in another farewell to the retiring colours – Lost Lagoon this time!  The square card uses two other tapes from the Botanical Gardens washi, for a completely different look to my original card.  If you want to compare it here rather than click on the link, here it is:

So, four totally different quick and easy cards, all from one sketch (which I rotated through 180 degrees – allowed in in the rules!) – what do you think?

Hope you like them – there is still time to create your own take on the sketch and join us at CAS Colours & Sketches – hope to see your cards in the gallery.
