Stampin’ Creative April blog hop

Hello!

Welcome to April’s blog hop – we’re featuring retiring favourites – the list is out and there are some bargains to be had!  If you’ve arrived from the amazing Lesley, your appetite should already be whetted!  While I’m sad to see things go, especially the in-colours, it’s exciting too as there are so many fabulous new products coming!  How do I know?  As demos we have already seen the new catalogue and pre-order for us starts on 3rd May.  Those of us that went to OnStage recently got to order even sooner – I have the new in-colour inks and cardstock already!

So, as I’ve said, I’m really going to miss the retiring in colours, Lost Lagoon especially. It’s been a real hit with everyone and I’m hoping that it’ll come back in a colour reshuffle sometime. So, I knew that my post would need to include that for a start!

Something else I’m very sad to see retire is the rotary trimmer attachment. I ordered it in error but from the start have always preferred it to the trimmer arm that comes as standard – I’m in a minority, it seems.

In terms of stampsets, there is always a big reshuffle and this year is no exception. We have some truly fantastic stamp sets coming our way and we’ll be featuring new items in next month’s blog hop. For now, I’m really going to miss Enjoy the Little Things, Going Global, Beautiful Ride and plenty more!

So, on to my cards! The in colours always get snapped up straight-away, so you won’t be able to get these now, but I’m hoping you can see using other colours you do have.

The card features the Work of Art stampset and is a CASE of a card I’ve done before which I originally CASE’d from Jen Peel, my sister’s upline.  I used the “swoosh” stamp and stamped it three times without re-inking.  The sentiment also comes from that set.

The second image is of a voucher or money envelope and I got this from my upline Eimear, although I think it was CASE’d from somewhere else again.

Here, I’ve used the Going Places DSP stack, Lost Lagoon, Missy Meadow and Hello Honey cardstocks, Hearts border punch, Heart punch and a sentiment from the Beautiful Ride stamp set, all of which are retiring!  If you like any of these, grab a bargain quickly!

So, I hope you like my homage to Lost Lagoon and retiring products.  If you do, have a look at my post from Thursday, which also features Lost Lagoon!

And now for something new!  This month, we have a product give-away!  For a comment on the blog  you have a chance to win these:

    1. Thanks Eimear, I’m so pleased you shared that wallet, I love it! And it’s a fab way of using up the DSP stacks. Now to find something to use up all my other DSP! Caro x
