More butterflies for CAS Colours & Sketches

I promised to post my first Design Team card for this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge earlier in the week, so here I am!  It’s a colour challenge, and Louise, who is setting the challenges this month put these three together:

CC&S color170-001

If you’ve read my earlier post you’ll know all that!  I didn’t say on my previous post that I spent last Saturday in Telford, attending Stampin’ Up’s Onstage Local event – we got sneak peeks of product coming in the new annual catalogue and also got a copy of it to take away – let’s just say my wishlist is a long one this year 🙂  These events are a lot of fun as well as being informative and a chance to catch up with other demonstrators, they also have plenty of “Prize Patrols”, where people are randomly selected to receive a stamp set.  I think all the attendees won one during the day and we were also given a stamp set in our bags at the beginning of the day and one at the end too!  So have three new stamp sets that I’ll be featuring over the coming weeks, as well as the new in colours.  Watch this space!

Anyway, back to the card:

Swallowtail, Emboss Resist, CC&S #170

I really like how this turned out, but I just wasn’t sure it was CAS-sy enough!  I heat embossed the butterfly (Swallowtail stamp) in white and then sponged in Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride and Tempting Turquoise – I used ordinary Whisper White cardstock for this.  I love the turquoise but realised I don’t use it that often – I must remedy that!  I added  a skinny mat of Blushing Bride and my base is Chocolate Chip.  Let me know what you think!  And don’t forget to check back for my sneak peeks!

  1. Oh Caro, I can honestly say, that despite this stamp being my least favourite stamp ever (reminds me too much of a moth), I find this card, absolutely stunning! Thank you for making me see it in a different light. I actually can’t believe that I could almost be tempted to buy it xx
