Butterflies for CAS Colours & Sketches

This week it’s a colour challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and Louise has set us these three lovely colours:

CC&S color170-001

I firstly came up with a design using emboss resist but I ummed and ahhed about whether it was CAS enough and in the end came up with something different I liked as much that is definitely CAS – no doubt about it!  I’ll post the other card at the weekend.  So, here is my Design Team card:

Garden in Bloom, Watercolour Wishes, CC&S #170

Hopefully you can see the Shimmery White cardstock I used for this one layer card.  The butterflies are from the Garden in Bloom set – this is the first time I’ve used it so I was very relieved to see it isn’t on the retiring list!  I stamped the outlines in Chocolate Chip and the wings are in Blushing Bride and Tempting Turquoise (one of them was stamped off, for some variation).  The sentiment is from the Watercolour Wishes set – I love the font of this.

I’m updating my post to say that thanks to Liz (her blog is here) mentioning it, I am entering the Paper Players current challenge as it calls for Clean and Simple Butterflies! Here is their challenge banner:

And there we have it – quick and easy and most definitely CAS!

Hope you like it.
