It’s a Beautiful Ride for CAS Colours & Sketches

Louise has posed an interesting challenge with this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.  There are are all sort of ways you can interpret this sketch:

For some reason, I quickly decided that the image on the left-hand side looked like a car. From there my card took shape quite quickly.  I will admit that to start with, I just had the car image on the left and was planning a description that explained how the wheel represented the circle image.  But in the end I decided to put the luggage in front of the wheel and I’m so glad I did – it works so much better!  See what you think:

Clean and Simple, CC&S #169, Watercolour, Beautiful Ride

My base is Island Indigo and once again I’ve stamped using Stazon Black onto Shimmery White cardstock.  The sentiment is stamped in Island Indigo.  All the images are from the Beautiful Ride stamp set.  I framed the top layer with a skinny black border.  I used Island Indigo, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight, Rose Red and a tiny bit of Soft Suede (on her hair) to watercolour this – that’s a lot of colours for someone that sometimes thinks three can be challenging!  And if you look closely there’s a hint of Wink Of Stella here and there.

I’m really pleased with how this turned out – hope you like it too.

Please do join in the fun – we love to see what you create.
