Lost without you for CAS Colours & Sketches

Today’s card is my Design Team card for challenge #162 at CAS Colours & Sketches.  Stef has given us a great sketch as her last challenge for February – 2 months of challenges have raced by!  Here’s the sketch:

I played around for a while before I hit on a design I liked for this.  Sometimes that happens, I find.  I knew from the start that I wouldn’t be using a flower as I just do’nt have very many, either in stamp or punch form!  Here’s what I came up with:

Going Global, Going Places DSP, Mossy Meadow

I’ve only recently got the Going Global stamp set but I love it!  Even if the UK is missing from the map stamp 😉  My base is Mossy Meadow with a mat of Crumb Cake.  I cut two strips of map DSP from the “Going Places” stack – I think this one gets a bit overlooked as when I showed my card to my sister (she’s on the DT too, so could have an early view) she asked where it’s from and I know she loves this stack.  But the colours as well as the theme were perfect – Very Vanilla and Mossy Meadow.  I stamped the compass from Going Global in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla, then cut it out using a circle framelit.  I cut another circle the same size in Mossy Meadow, cut it down the middle and backed the compass circle so just a small border is shown.  I stamped “I’m Lost Without You”, also from Going Global, in Mossy Meadow  onto the top Very Vanilla.  I put the layers together with tombow and popped the compass up on dimensionals.  The inside sentiment (from guess which set?!) says “You mean the world to me”.

I’m pleased with this – it could be an anniversay card, I thought, perhaps, or a “just because” for a friend.  Hope you like it!

If you want to play along and enter your own sketch card – please follow the link to the site, read the challenge rules and enter your own take – we’d love to see what you create.

  1. I really like this. The colour scheme is of course awesome (mossy meadow is fab) and I almost regret not having the stamp set – I just can’t get over the UK missing!
