This week at CAS Colours & Sketches, it’s a sketch challenge – here’s what Stef came up with:
I really like this sketch layout – sometimes I do struggle to interpret them, but Stef has confirmed we can use other shapes (although need to take the differing sizes into account) and I found that an idea came into my head quite quickly:
To start with, I did try this with a square card, as the sketch is square. I love square cards, but it just didn’t work with my design. So (again, the rules permit this), I went with a traditional A6 layout.
My base is Mossy Meadow, with a mat from the Botanical Gardens DSP in Hello Honey. A skinny Hello Honey mat surrounds the Whisper White top layer. “Love this life” from the Enjoy the Little Things stampset (Spring/Summer catalogue) is stamped in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the leaves from the Sale-a-bration set What I love in Mossy Meadow and also the flowers, one in Tangelo Twist and the other in Crushed Curry, as the brighter yellow worked better than Hello Honey here. I put the layers together with tombow.
Hope you like it!
