Wonderland frond

Wow, two posts in two days!  I’m aiming for two posts a week at the moment and intend to spread them out, but I have a card I want to enter in a challenge and the deadline is today, so here I am again!

I decided to enter the Global Design Project’s current colour challenge, #GDP013, as I love colour challenges and this really appealed.  Here’s the challenge banner:

Isn’t that combination of colours gorgeous?  And doesn’t it just scream Christmas?  I came up with a card I really like and it turns out that I still have the CAS Colours & Sketches current challenge on my mind, as it meets the requirement for their current sketch challenge, #152 as well!  So as I’m allowed to enter more than one card, I’m going to! As a reminder, here’s the CAS challenge banner:

And here’s my card:

I stamped the pine frond from the Wonderland set in Real Red and Old Olive onto Crumb Cake.  I matted the Crumb Cake onto a skinny Whisper White mat and then put them on a Real Red card base.  I used the “Noel” from the Wondrous Wreath framelit set to cut out thick Whisper White (to make it a bit sturdier) and attached it with tombow.  Inside, I used a stamp from the Oh What Fun set – I bought this pretty much on impulse and am so glad I did – lots of great stamps for tags, packaging and cards!

I’m really pleased with how this came out – hope you like it too!

  1. Caroline – I love the graphic nature of this card – and how you interpreted this sketch. So clever. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project color challenge.
