Stampin’ Creative September blog hop – gift packaging

Hello!

Welcome to the Stampin’ Creative blog hop – you may see that it’s been a while since I posted.  Sadly my mum died in June and my creative mojo went into hibernation.  But it’s coming back gradually and I missed being a part of this monthly hop, so here I am.

You may have arrived from the lovely Kim’s post, or started here – either way, welcome! This month’s theme is gift packaging. I have to admit, I do love wrapping presents!  My sister and I have a bit of a competition each Christmas to see who can wrap the prettiest present.  It’s amazing how different paper can look, depending on the ribbon or embellishments used.  So now you’re expecting to see wrapped up presents, I suppose? Wrong!  I’ve decided to showcase the Gift Bag punch board, which was new in the current annual catalogue.  I’ve used this in a previous blog hop but bear with me.  This time, I wanted to show the versatility of the board, so I’ve created two bags – one in the smallest dimensions and one in the largest dimensions the punch board allows.  There’s a big difference in size and I hope this shows just how many things this board is capable of (or hints at it).

The small bag is made using the Bohemian DSP and tied with a Blackberry Bliss ribbon (last year’s and it’s retired now) and the large bag is made using the Typeset Speciality DSP, which was the only DSP to get carried over, tied with a (retired) Tangelo Twist ribbon.

I hope you like today’s projects.  Next up is Michaela – I know you’ll enjoy what she has to show us.  Here is the full list of posts in today’s hop:
