Green for CAS Colours and Sketches

Today’s card is in response to the current CAS (Clean and Simple) challenge – simply to make a card in shades of green.    Here’s the challenge banner:

CAS #118

This is where Stampin’ Up! provides an advantage – there are lots of greens in the current colour families!  I pulled out six or seven (seriously) and narrowed my selection down to three : Always Artichoke (a grey-green), Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz.

After messing around with a few other stampsets, I settled on one of my current favourites – Sheltering Tree.  Here’s my card:

The base is Always Artichoke with a mat of Old Olive.  I stamped the images on the more cream white, Very Vanilla.  I stamped the tree structure in Always Artichoke and added the leaves in Old Olive.  I stamped additional leaves (stamping off once) in Pear Pizzazz.  The grass is Old Olive and the sentiment is in Always Artichoke – hope you like it!  I do.

  1. I agree with Jane – you picked a perfect stamp set to use with these challenge colors! Excellently done, Caroline. Thanks for joining us this week at CC&S! I hope you’ll come back soon for another challenge and ask your sister if she’ll join us again, too. 😉

    1. Thanks Patricia! Liz will be back – she’s at language school learning Spanish at the moment so she’s not able to join challenges just now. Glad you like my card, I though this was a great challenge and really enjoyed it.

  2. Terrific use of all those shades of green Caro! 🙂
Thanks for joining us at CAS-Colours and Sketches this week! 🙂

  3. What a beautiful use of shades of green. The tree looks fab on the cream, so full of spring greenness. Thank you for joining us at CC&S for our colour challenge
    Louise xx
