Hump day hello

I love today’s card.  I made it one Saturday afternoon when I was just playing around with no particular purpose (it seems like ages since I had time to do that!) and I ended up with a handful of cards I really liked.  Then they just had to wait for the right occasion!

This card was given to some new neighbours when they moved in recently – they came around (along with their gorgeous 10 month old daughter who turned out to be fascinated by our fridge magnets) to introduce themselves and said what a difference the card had made on moving in day when they’d been sitting in their new, needed a lot of cleaning and work house, wondering if they had done the right thing.  That made my day!  Here’s the card:

Materials and measurements

  • Lost Lagoon card stock – half A4 (148.5 x 210 mm), scored and folded at 105mm
  • Wavy DSP (now retired, which is my excuse for not remembering the name of it), 5mm on both sides or so smaller than the card base
  • Lost Lagoon card stock, at least 10mm smaller again, embossed using the chevron TIEF
  • Deco labels framelits in retired DSP (from last year’s Saleabration), Lost Lagoon and Whisper White
  • hello from the “Four You” stamp set in Lost Lagoon
  • Stars punched using the current Itty Bitty Accents Punch set
  • A little bit of sparkle courtesy of basic rhinestones

I thought this card was subtle and elegant.

Hope you enjoy it!
